The ESL is mounted on top of the steering column guiding the instrument cluster and over the brake pedal.It is NOT possible to get rid of a LOCKED ESL from the steering column in situ as well as the column has to be taken off.I have just successfully changed the Electrical Steering Lock (ESL) and required quite a few goes plus some Qualified assist
